Post Question about Dream Weave ?
There was a discussion the other day about a product from Germany that you fuse onto fabric and it won't wrinkle. Well, I just got an e-mail saying that Floriani Dream Weave will do the same and still keep the same fabric "hand." Is the Dream Weave as good as that German product that is suppose to be really expensive? I found a piece of linen upstairs and it's just wanting so badly to be sewn. Has anyone worked with both these products and what did you think? Helen

I've used both and find that German Interfacing is lighter, more like batiste and Dream weave is a bit heavier. I like dream weave on knits when embroidering but do prefer German Interfacing on the linen. You'll not even know it is on the linen when fused to it.

Can you please refresh my memory on where to get the German Interfacing and what it's called? Helen

what I had heard was pretty much the same as Ma posted... BUT... I searched high and low to find the German interfacing here and couldn't find any... so I'm using the Dream Weave... I buy it by the bolt now as it makes the price per yard even better... PLUS it now comes in white, black and a kind of cream... they call it beige but it's more like cream.

Carol Harris http://www.carolharrisco.com/notions-interfacing.shtml itches.com Debbie Glenn has it - it is on her order form
http://www.loveandstitches.com but someone on MP said that they found it at Joanns you have to go through all the interfacing and you are looking for fusible interfacing 100% cotton
Hope that that helps - putting it on my shopping list.

Here's a link to the Supply Closet for sources for German interfacing: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=4563

Scroll down just a tad and you'll see it listed. Hope this helps. I do remember a really big discussion on this with input from a number of members who sew fine garments but I don't seem able to locate it now. If memory serves me right, they liked it for the lightweight qualities so that the fabric continued to "move" the way it should.
