Title: Jennifer's Dream Lace Edging & Insertions
I can't say enough good things about how beautiful a job Marie did of digitizing the Jennifer's Dream Lace. I've shyed away from doing lace because I thought it would take too long to stitch and then be stiff as cardboard. The Jennifer's Dream lace has such a supple hand when the water soluble stabilizer is washed out, and it didn't take long at all. I managed 52 inches of the 4 inch deep lace over the course of 2 Saturday's with lots of breaks in between. It truly was a Dream to work with. Thank you Marie for the effort you make to ensure your designs are perfection.

Title: Why I go to MEH designs first
So many instances where I go to MEH designs first to see if whats in my mind is there ... all of those FREE applique designs from the Yahoo Group often solves the quest for just the right applique design.
On the rare occasions that I determine I need a test MEH stitch out I stitch on something that Ill want to keep or use up on a project because I do not usually have bad stitch outs with MEH designs. I had a problem once with a FSL freebie that Marie digitized at my request - note I suggested a design Marie digitized it ... I had a problem with it and she hung in there with me until I experienced a successful stitch out ... did I mention this was all for free
The only shortcomings I experience are MINE I stretch the envelope quite a bit trying things that may or may not be how a design use was intended and I also dont enough time to sew
Thank you for all that you do Marie. I echo everyones wish for your hubby to get back to work soon

Title: Love the Metallic Thread
Thank you thank you thank you Miss Marie
Ive been doing machine embroidery for almost 10 years and always envious of others projects using metallic thread. Id tried using every trick --- metallic needle slow machine speed praying biting my lip etc. --- but the thread always get stuck inside the machine. Off to the repair shop. :-
I finally this year heard at an embroidery show that the Floriani Metallic thread was entirely different no more hassel no more breaking no more getting caught in the bowels of the machine where I fear to tread Of course I had my doubts but my curiosity took over --- plus my visions of metallic Christmas sugarplums.............
In search of the truth about this magic thread I lucked up on your website and ordered 2 spools. When the thread came I was even nervous about using it. With so many Christmas gifts still to be made I wouldve been in trouble if I had to leave my machine with a repairman. Id quized Miss Marie on it and got all the right words. I kept seeing Maries statement Youll fall in love with it. Shed gained my trust so I took a deep breath and took that first dive --- NO PROBLEM
What a NEW WORLD this is for me. Now in every design I look for a spot to add a little sparkle Youve added a whole new experience to my life Miss Marie
Now let me check out your designs........................... :- Im having such FUN

I love your designs and the ones Ive collected are in their very own ring binder on floppies and a color design page in plastic sheet protectors so all I have to do is open it up to find what I want to sew very easily. ... I love the ease of your designs very few if any jump stitches to have to snip is the greatest thing and the designs stich out so cleanly Your personality comes out in everything you design. You are always sooo very helpful when we have problems....even with my fumbling trying to download designs from your site You are a rock to all of us dear lady and I for one truly appreciate you even though I may not always have the words to say it properly.

Title: Eyeglass Case Project
The eyeglass case instructions were detailed and easy to follow. Especially the visualisation page which helped me layout the various fabrics. The cording makes the case so convenient and I can stick stuff in the extra pocket like my embroidery scissors and tweezers. For my case with the glasses applique I used black fabric and a piece of clear vinyl.
Thanks for all of the free applique designs to choose from I cant wait to make more of these.

JenniferB and Marie have me all inspired so I stitched up a small and med version of these darling little projects. I purposely made them with bright colors since some of us tend to misplace things. The pink hibiscus with Maries Elevation K is for a quilting friend and the blue with flower and quilting design from Alegria on the funky flower print is for me...it just has a little ribbon on top for hanging over a little hook on my carpeted-bulletin board thingy that hangs behind my machine.

Marie, I purchased your Stuffy Pals Set a while back and can't tell you how many compliments I have recieved on them. I make them in Minky fabric and attach them to baby gifts and everyone raves about them. I also purchased the Farmland Applique set and used them on baby burp cloths. Let me tell you you how cute they are! My next project will be with the Pineapple Lace. I have already stitched it out and it is a beauuuutiful design! Your talent amazes me Marie. And your customer service goes above and beyond and certainly makes me a happy and returning custmomer.
I also love your forum. It is a lovely place to visit and everyone there is so encouraging and helpful. Thanks for everything you do Marie.

I had the great pleasure of meeting Marie at her booth at the Toronto CSNF show last month. Of course I bought the stabilizer package that included the embroidered denim bag! What really caught my eye were the baskets of the stuffed toys. The photos on the website just do not depict how great these toys look. They are absolutely delightful. Right now I have no one to specifically sew them for but am considering purchasing a set to make some in advance or to donate to a worthy cause. Great work Marie!

I think this set fills a gap in the embroidery world. It's hard to find good quality WIDE lace that is affordable, in stores. For me, this lace has more uses.
So I'm glad to own this, and I very much hope that I will sit down and USE it soon. Marie, I admire the self-discipline that you have to have in order to design and test a big project like this. That's a lot of hours to shut everything else out while you get it done. I hope that it makes you a bunch of money, to compensate for all the hours of your life invested.

Marie your designs are always amazing. I never even think about testing one of your designs and I especially appreciate your gorgeous laces. Its impossible to have favorites
I also appreciate your efforts to provide a wonderful place for us to gather and chat. I know it is a lot of work and expense -- even when everything is going smoothly -- but you have succeeded in keeping this a comfortable place to be. As a part of the Haven I dont want to forget your commitment to helping those in need. When one of our own was down about her unmarried daughters lack of family support for a coming baby you were right there with whatever it took to help us shower her with blessings --- including a free design if we didnt already have it. Title: Love your work
From the time I was first introduced to them by a sewing angel (gosh, it has to be six or seven years ago) I have loved your designs. My very favorites are always the beautiful appliques; I use them so often it isn't funny. I even made a little felt label out of one of them for my letterboxing project for the grands and it turned out wonderfully. You've always been generous with your free designs and the quality of them is every bit as good as those you do for sale. Leah's 1st Communion dress was another very special project for me that your designs made perfect.
But, in addition to your wonderful design work, I really like and respect you as a person. You always try to be kind and are the first to apologize when you believe you might have made a mistake. I appreciate that in a person; it is a rarer quality than you might think.

Title: Credit Card Organizers
The way this comes together is way too cool. I have no idea how Marie figured this out. In 1 hour this thing came together...I had done one a couple of years ago from scratch and it took me a whole day and it didnt have as many pockets. The hardest part about doing these from scratch is measuring everything out. Marie has made that a piece of cake by turning it into an in the hoop project.
1 case takes a 9 inch width of fabric. So for a double case you need 18 inches or 1/2 yard plus a couple of inches to square the fabric up if it is not square. I used hairbands to have elastic that matched my fabric. Thank you Marie for figuring out how to do this. Of all the in the hoop projects you have done this is going to be the most used and versatile for me. Thank you for figuring this out taking the time to digitize it creating the excellent instructions and making it available.
After youve done one or two of these you dont need to read the instructions step by step anymore which saves time. I bet you could easily do one in about 30 minutes once on a roll.

Title: Elegance 02 Cutwork 303
For those of you who havent tried cutwork Marie makes it easy with her complete instructions that come with the set and some great tips to make your project a success. Cutting out those small areas is easy too..the stitching is very secure so you can snip up close and there is plenty of room for small scissors. For something like this my scissors of choice are drug store nail scissors with a very slight curve. They seem to stay sharp for quite a while..surprisingly. As usual Maries digitizing is superb. Congratulations Marie for another stunning set.

Title: Creativity and making designs sing together
Marie... you mention the help you provided for Embird users...since I have different software, I wasn't thinking much of what was discussed pertained to me, but I read anyway and found a number of tips that were very helpful.
I collected your freebies for a while, but didn't purchase any of your designs for a long time...but once I did...my adventures with the embroidery machine have gotten a lot more creative and interesting. I put in enough time just plopping a design on an item...just never thought in terms of making the designs sing together in other uses until using some of yours.
For a long time, I just didn't even see the use of "design elements"...boy was my world a lot smaller then!!!
I hope your designs will continue to spark creativity and productivity with your new machine and keep our machines stitching your inspired works.

I didn't want to just fuse the cut out cupcake design onto the t-shirt....too stretchy material. Hi Marie,
Thought you might like to see my use of your lace. I used a fingertip towel and made the two ends and two sets of the three in small. I actually laid the crocheted pieces on the towel and basted them on and then instead of sewing them together in a row first, I just sewed them directly on the towel.
I really love it as it is so easy to stitch out and looks so much like what I used to crochet by hand when I was much younger.

We both really like the way it looks on the grey shirt. No the original idea of a blue lion is not mine...saw it done similarly in rtw
I tried something different for stabilizing this time. This time I fused a piece of no-show mesh onto the shirt and a second piece at 45degree angle then hooped it all together. Laid a topping on top. This is EXACTLY what Marie suggests in the stabilizer court forum Why didnt I try this before Ill have to give this method two thumbs up

Ive had this project in the works for a while...can you believe it got stalled because I didn't have matching thread for the hems???
Designs are Marie's roses from Cross Stitch 1, set 2 and her beautiful Roselina lace. Both designs were stiched with beige cotton-look poly from Marie's group buy a year or so ago. I wanted to have a sort of vintage look, so used a taupe color linen...runner is about 14 x 54 inches. I'm still debating about putting the circle of roses cross-stitch in the center...for now the designs are on the ends.

Title: Roselina Lace 3D Amazement Monogram
This is a Mothers Day present for my mom. Its a Sunday Missal cover Thanks Shirley for the measurements. The cover is made from 6 strips of Maries Roselina Lace. Another strip makes the magnetic closure tab. Its embellished with 3D Amazement monogram and a FSL cross from Marie from her yahoo group.
The lace pieces from Roselina were MEHRLE3 which are 6.96 inches long. 6 pieces stitched together are a perfect fit for the front spine and back of the cover...completely by coincidence they fit. Ive stitched the lace to some white felt and white felt folded to the inside front and back covers make the flaps that the covers slip in to. Along the top and bottom edge I stitched some narrow lace yardage to finish the edges a bit.
Maries lace is superb to stitch and work with. The stitch quality is reliably excellent. Whatever magic Marie puts into the digitized form results in a soft an supple lace of the highest quality.

Title: Black and White Apron
Every so often I just get on a creative and productive roll...here is the second apron for my neighbors graduation gift. Same style apron as the black one but in white this time trimmed with black/white ribbon and using Maries Elevation Monogram and frame. I dont think I mentioned it before the side hem needed to be unstitched before embroidering but was so easy to re-stitch with the folds already pressed in place. Edge-stitch foot makes the ribbon easy to attach.

Marie, I just wanted to tell you I made the jungle animals for a baby shower gift and they were the hit of the party. The pictures don't do them justice. They stitched out beautifully!

Title: Cosmetic Bags
Here are Maries cosmetic cases in three sizes. The mid sized case is the original from the set. Maries instructions say you can resize them because its all outline stitches so I went wild. The larger one is enlarged by 13 to make a larger storage case. It easily holds larger items like an extra pair of pantyhose. The smallest one is reduced to 60 of the original size. Its perfect as a coin case. For the largest and smallest I did the zippers out of the hoop because zipper stitching line spacing was changed when I resized them. I skipped the in the hoop overcast trimmed it larger than what Marie suggested and ran it through the serger to finish the seams. They are all lined with fusible no show mesh. It gives it lots of body and is somewhat moisture proof. These went together so fast and were a pleasure to sew. They are definitely on my list of things to make as small gifts for family and friends. A great way to use up scraps

Title: Pineapple Crochet Lace Designs
Hi Marie,
I purchased the Pineapple lace designs last night. This morning I stitched the 4x4 square and all I can say is WOW! It is beautiful! If the rest of the pieces are this nice, and I am sure they will be, I am so happy I finally took the plunge. LOL I can't thank you enough for your help before I even purchased any of your designs. You are one very helpful and talented lady!
I will be back for more of your designs when my wallet will allow it. I can't tell you how excited I am with these designs.
I read your suggestions for a good stitch out. My machine's tension was right as it needed to be. You have made things so easy for me. Thank you!
Thank you, again!

Marie your designs are always digitized very well. The fact that your wonderful designs have few or no jump stitches is a biggie for me Your beautiful lace stitches out really well too... Ive also liked learning about the Floriani products from you as they are the products I use most often. The many gifts and alphas that you not only give to us but deliver to our inboxes... how neat is that The forum here is the best because of the mood you have set and the work maintaining it by your and your helpers is so appreciated as it is so special. And fulfilling our requests for certain items is just grand too

Title: Finding wire for the Creative Fashion 01 Hairties
I couldn't find the wire at my Walmart at all, so I went to Home Depot. I got 16-gauge galvinized wire and it works fine. I have been making these ties all day long and am wearing one as I type this. I haven't had this much fun "fooling" around with my machine in a long time. They are much more comfortable than an elastic in your hair that is for sure, and boy do they hold. What a great idea Marie had! These are soooo addicting. It's the only thing I've done all day. I was suppose to be cleaning. What fun. I have over 10 done all ready and more to go.

Title: the engineering that brings the art to life
The most important thing for me in working with your designs has been learning to look for the engineering that brings the art to life. I cant tell you how delighted I was to watch a scallop stitch out and understand why yours went beyond craft to art. Ive learned from you that charm and excellence are so far beyond merely cute Take good care of yourself I have so much I want to learn from you and it will only happen if you are not stretched beyond all that is reasonable. Many of us who might qualify as type A personalities can say been there done that please take care. Dont give yourself a guilt trip. Catch a breath and decide where your art will take you you can count on us to follow.
and lets talk about the little things you do that are HUGE when one is trying to do something basic like turning a design into a bookmark. Yes it's the eyelet that has saved me so many times. I've found myself thinking, only Marie!!! would know how useful this tiny item would be. I certainly didn't when you first posted it. This is only a small example of how you help us grow. I really wish I knew how to put my appreciation into words. I've spent today with your angel and your eyelet stitching out wishing you could see how happy the fifth grade parents are going to be with this addition to their book sale fund raiser.
Thank you for helping me have art back in my life.

Title: Out of the Box
Four year old GD fell in love with a tee shirt that I was wearing it had medallions that looked crocheted. She wanted one just like it only pink. I bought a pink tee shirt took the Christmas Light covers from Maries set called Snowfun and came up with this.
The stitchout was perfect. I used a cotton look thread that I bought from Marie big spool of this stuff. I did the stitching in an ecru to look like 1970s macrame stuff. I did the designs as FSL and hand tacked them to the shirt this avoided any possible puckering on what was a very stretchy tee shirt.

You give so freely of you knowledge and are so willing to share to everyone. Thank you Marie for all you do You are a Class Act and there are few that will be able to follow in you steps. Jeane M

Title: Thanks Marie for all you do
I have bought several design sets. I can't say enough about them. I have used the Farmland designs on bibs and quilts and they stitch out perfectly. The edges are so smooth thanks to Marie's expert digitizing. Her fsl angels are unbelievable. Again, they stitch out beautifully with no jump stitches. I attach them on my xmas gifts and always receive compliments about them. What can I say about her pineapple lace. Stitches out like a dream and has so many uses. Thank you Marie for your talent and dedication to producing such wonderful, beautiful work. Laurie

Title: I love your designs
I love your designs because they are usually just what I am looking for and almost always sew perfectly and if not then it is usually user error. I have been practicing with the cutwork borders - wanting to put it on some pillowcases. I have used your lace for making my everyday pillowcases prettier. I have used the Farmland for the grands and every stitchout is perfect. I made David and Chloe for Smiles for Children and had great fun doing it. I have a project in mind for the crossstitch roses and have a design from the Algeria (?) set on a floppy ready to make a spring pillow for the sofa. I have used your alphabets on pillowcases and towels and they always turn out great. I have talked to you on the telephone and you are always gracious even when I know that you are really busy. I hope to be able to meet you in person sometime but until then know that I think you are great and very talented!!!!!
Marie's reply:
Thank you so very much for you kind words and I hope I get to meet you in person too!

Title: my all time favorite
I know that I sound like a broken record - but I truly love all my MEH Designs - they are the best around anywhere. At one time I thought that the Pineapple Lace was my all time favorite and maybe it still is - but I do love all of your x-stitch sets. It is truly amazing to watch those stitch out. You have given us so many wonderful gifts - and I have used so many of the applique ones to make patches for my gks backpacks totes and pencil bags. I think they love your designs as much as I do - whenever I take them new items with their name on it - they always ask if the patch came from Ms Marie. I have learned so much from your tutorials - easy to follow - never any steps left out - and I am amazed at my end results. Without you your tutorials and designs - I would have never learned how to do applique cut work merging designs borders and the list goes on and on. So Thank you wonderful Lady
Hugs
Jeane

Title: Love the quality of your designs
I use your designs every week. I use your heart, bow and sun glasses appliques all the time for my baby quilts. I don't have to test your designs to see if they will stitch out well, but just to confirm sizes and color choices, I already know the wonderful quality of design work. There are very few designers I can say that about.

Title: Machine Embroidery, the perfect solution to repair a cherished i
A friend had a favorite cashmere twin sweater set that was full of moth holes. I used All Over Roses to embroider over them. She says that it is even more beautiful now. The designs stitched out perfectly and were so flat that the sweater does not need ironing after washing.
Thanks Marie for saving the day!

Title: In the Hoop Scissor Chatelaine knitting needle holder
This in the hoop project was so easy to do. The instructions are very well written. Construction is similar to the Cell Phone tote and the eyeglasses case. The extra pocket on the outside is an ingenious little twist not only to tuck treasures into but for turning the chatelaine right side out and hiding the final row of stitching to close the opening. This is a wonderful project to use up small pieces and create colourful gifts.
If you are a knitter and use loop needles the chatelaine makes a perfect storage case too
